Why Our Rosin Costs More — And Why It’s Worth It

Not all kava supplement extracts are created equal.

Kava’s active compounds, kavalactones, are fat-soluble. That means they’re best absorbed alongside the plant’s natural oils and lipids—the way kava has traditionally been experienced.

Most modern extracts don’t preserve this.

CO₂ extraction is highly selective. It isolates certain kavalactones, but leaves behind important supporting compounds. The result? An extract that may look genuine on paper, but often feels incomplete and lacks a full Kavalactone profile, usually containing mostly Dihydrokavain (the mouth numbing kavalactone and Kavaine (the sedative Kavalactone), without the enzymes to process them through the liver.

We take a different path.

Our hybrid water + heat/pressure (rosin) process preserves the full-spectrum kavalactone profile along with the plant’s natural oils. This creates a more bioavailable, balanced, and authentic kava experience.

We also work with fresh plant material—something almost unheard of in kava extracts. When we do dry, it’s done carefully to protect the oils, not degrade them.
