A lab in Pahoa, a handful of local farms, and a founder who still presses it himself.
Heartlight Extracts is a family-owned kava rosin and gummy company on the Big Island of Hawaii. That is not a marketing position. It is the actual size and shape of the company.

It started with a two-year-old.
Heartlight Extracts was founded in 2018 by Marc Kittay, after he became a single father to his daughter Nimue, then two years old. Building a business he could run without being pulled away from her was the point of the company from day one.
That shaped everything after it: family first, work second, and a business built around a schedule a parent can actually live inside. The same value extends outward. We hire family-oriented, hard-working people from Pahoa and the surrounding area rather than scaling through a distant factory or an outsourced supply chain.
We are extraction artists at our core.
We make solventless kava rosin, hand-crafted in small batches, and infuse it into vegan gummies for convenience and consistency. The process is labour-intensive by choice.
Pressed by hand
Every batch is made by hand, in small quantities, by the founder. Not supervised by him. Made by him.
Organic where we can source it
Certified organic ingredients wherever they are available to us, even when that costs more and takes longer.
Farms we know by name
Most of our kava is grown or sourced on the Big Island, from a small number of local farms we know personally. Not an anonymous commodity chain.

Made by people who grow the plant, not by people who buy it.
We make plant extracts because people deserve a natural thing to reach for that was made by the people who actually grow and process it, rather than bought in bulk from somewhere else and relabelled.
We are trying to build something that strengthens family and community, ours and the ones we sell to. That is why a single father in Pahoa started pressing kava rosin, and it is still the reason today: a small, honest operation, run by people who put their names on what they make.
There is no corporate office, no call centre, and no multi-state supply chain. There is a lab in Pahoa, a few local farms, and a founder who still presses the rosin himself. We would rather say that plainly than pretend to be bigger.
Come see what a small operation makes.
If you are a retailer or distributor, you will hear back from the founder directly, not a sales queue.
